Fledglings: In order- Gabrielle, Nicolas, Louis, Claudia, musician friend in Interview with the Vampire, a fledgling at the end of Interview with the Vampire whose name was not told and David Talbot. Appearance: About 6 foot, blue/grey/violet eyes that absorb light around them easily, long blond hair, extremely white skin after The Queen of the Damned. Lestat has impeccable dress sense with an extravagant taste for well tailored clothes often resembling the clothes of the 1800's when he was a mortal. Character: Lestat is an adventurous and vivacious character, doing everything and anything he wants. Books: Interview with the Vampire, The Vampire Lestat, The Queen of the Damned, The Tale of the Body Thief, Memnoch the Devil and TheVampire Armand (briefly) History: Lestat was the son of a country lord in France in the 1800's. He was a rebellious child and decided that he would run away to be an actor after he saw a traveling troop in the village. He ran away with Nicolas de Lefant who was the son of a local. Nicolas and Lestat found jobs in Paris in a small theatre. It was here that Lestat was spotted by Magnus a renegade vampire. Magnus decided to pass the dark gift on to Lestat and forced him to take the blood. Magnus soon after committed suicide leaving Lestat an orphan. Lestat, desperate for companions made his mother Gabrielle a vampire and Nicolas a vampire also. While experimenting with his vampiric powers Lestat caught the attention of Armand the leader of the vampire coven of The Children Of Darkness and Nicolas was captured and tortured. Unwittingly Lestat, Nicolas and Gabrielle had broken the sacred vampire laws and The Children Of Darkness thought that they should be punished. ahhhh...crap mental,writers block happening.....I think I'll have to read The Vampire Lestat again for the rest of his life story....so should you.... |
