Anne Rice has been catagorised into the 'horror' and 'gothic' genres due to her immense success in The Vampire Chronicles and The Mayfair Witches. Unfortunately her other novels have not received nearly as much acclaim and have been largely ignored by the literacy world. Anne Rice has also written erotica under the pseudonyms, Anne Rampling and A. N. Roquelaure.
